QualSpray HVLP Spray Guns and Pressure Pots

QualSpray™ is our exclusive line of spray guns, pressure pots and accessories imported directly by Homestead. Most of these products are designed or configured to our specifications. The spray guns provide a low cost alternative to our other product lines, but without sacrificing quality. All products are pre-tested here before they're shipped out and they come complete with supplemental instructions written by us to get you up and running or for future troubleshooting. For the price conscious spray user or for second guns for specific tasks, these products will perform.

QS-08 If you attend my classes, you'll see me use this type of gun quite a bit. You'll love this touch up gun for its price, but it's perfect for working up samples, toning, shading and small projects. The overhead trigger makes for precise detail work and is very comfortable to use. While not HVLP, it will work fine with small compressors. Stainless steel needle and nozzle make it perfect for water based. Standard configuration of 1.6mm will handle all stains and thin clears like shellac and lacquer. Water base finishes need 10% thinning with water. Package includes gun, 8 oz. cup and complete instructions. If you use this gun for dyes and toners like I do, be sure to get several extra cups!

QS-200 This little gun is a great bargain at just over 100.00. It's perfect for small projects, toning, shading and working up samples. We love it here at Homestead for applying water based dyes. Stainless steel 200ml cup, needle and nozzle make it perfect for water based. Standard configuration of 1.2mm will handle all stains and thin clears like shellac and lacquer. Water base requires may need thinning with water. Order the optional 0.5mm for detailed and precise work and the 0.8mm for dye stains and NGR's. Package includes gun, 200ml stainless steel cup, wrench, 1 stainless steel strainer, cleaning brush and complete instructions.

QS-125WB - We asked our factory to design us a radically different detail gun that could act like a larger one when it came to spraying clears. Now you can get a gun that's just as good as spraying thinner viscosity finishes for touch up and detail work, and spray clears without thinning. This new addition has an all stainless steel finish travel path (see description below for QS-6000WB), in addition to the stainless used on the nozzle and needle. Plus it only needs 4 cfm to run. The 1.2mm will spray clear finishes without thinning unless they are pretty thick. The 600cc cup will hold larger amounts of finish when you need it. We beta-tested this gun with several customers. I used the spray gun today, to apply USL to unfilled walnut; all I can say is the gun exceeded my expectations. My pancake compressor was able to keep up and the volume of finish from the gun was impressive. In the past, I’ve been a little heavy handed when spraying finishes, which is why I’ve stuck to brushing, but this gun laid down a nice even finish despite operator inexperience. QS-600WB This new gun was built to Homestead's specifications for our customers that wanted a great performing gun for both solvent and waterborne finishes that won't break your budget. This gun incorporates stainless steel in the fluid passages, threaded connector to the cup, and the female connector in the nylon cup. (see below). This upgrade by our factory insures proper performance with waterborne finishes and catalyzed solvent products. Available as a gun only or in kits.

SP-200 This new addition is a low pressure HTE gun that suprised us when we tested it here against guns 3 times the cost. QS-32 This 1 quart pressurized cup converts any pressure feed gun to a pressurized cup feed. If you have a standard siphon feed or remote pressure cup feed gun, convert it with this pot to spray thicker finishes or increase finish delivery rates. Polished aluminum cup, brass pickup tube and single regulator with check valve included. Not recommended for frequent spraying of acid catalyzed finishes.

A dual regulator assembly lets you control both primary atomizing air and air pressure to the cup. Cup pressure regulator range is 0-10 psi. Recommended when you have long air lines (25 ft. and over) from your compressor.

QS-64T This economical pot is a great way to get into remote pressure feed spraying. The lightweight design and narrow mouth make is well-suited for holding in your hand or slinging it from your belt with the hook. Features a lockable, heavy duty regulator that is better and more accurate than our old QS64A and other similar 2 qt pots. Features a recessed check valve assembly for easier cleaning and maintenance, shut off valve on the fluid outlet, and Teflon coating in and outside. The solvent proof rubber gasket has more "give" than the hard white gaskets found on similar pots at this price for better sealing. Works with all finishes but is not recommended for frequent use with acid catalyzed finishes. (see the QS-64ES below).

* Putting a second regulator on the pot makes it top heavy. We recommend putting a second regulator at the gun inlet if you want dual regulation.

QS-64ES With this rugged pot you'll upgrade from the 2 qt pots above to a wide mouth and easier clamping system. We've also designed in stainless steel where it counts, on the pickup tube and the fluid outlet. No up-charge for stainless steel fittings! This gives you Teflon and stainless for all wet parts so it's the best for water base, catalyzed and other corrosive finishes that attack brass and aluminum. Your choice of single or dual regulators. QS-128S This rugged pot quickly became our favorite pressure pot here at Homestead. If you want the ruggedness of a 2 gallon pot but can't justify the size, this is the pot to get. Great features include Teflon coating for chemical resistance, stainless pickup tube and fluid output and large wing nut clamping system. Stainless inner pail is removable for easy cleaning*. Features a heavy duty self-relieving regulator for precise control. Works with all finishes and is highly recommended for water base and catalyzed finishes. QualSpray™ 2-1/2 and 5 gallon pots have stainless steel where it matters the most, on the inside (see photo, right). The removable inner tank liner, pickup tube and pickup tube filter screen are all stainless steel, making it compatible with all finishes, including acid catalyzed lacquers and varnishes. It's perfect for water base finishes.

QS-HA1 - This variable speed portable mixer has been one of the best additions to our shop. We mix TransTints, paints and dispersions with it and it's the best way we've found to re-mix flatting agents back into solution for clear finishes. For mixing combustibles and flammables, do it safely! Air power poses no safety issues. Variable speed control, stainless steel shaft and tough nylon impeller will not contaminate any product and is easy to clean. Large Jacobs style chuck will also accept paint paddles and stirrers.

QS-FA1 - This variable speed portable mixer is mounted on a sturdy metal frame. Same motor as above, but unit is designed for unattended agitation or mixing of 5 gallon pails or smaller. QS-815 This Gravity Gun Holder and filling station holds both full size (right) and smaller detail gravity guns like the QS200 with the smaller gun support (included).
