General Industrial

General Glaze Effects Wiping Glaze -
Glaze Effects
are translucent water based wiping colors used to create decorative finishes
such as distressing, marbling, rag rolling and wood graining.
The most popular use for glazes is over opaque
finishes for "Distressed Paint" finishes. Glaze Effects
can be inter-mixed or layered to
create custom colors. They may also be layered over one another to create
deeper, richer looks. We strongly recommend purchasing the General Extenderif you
have never worked with water based glazes before. If you like mixing your
own glazes, get the clear and tint them with
Mixol or ViviTone colorants.

Top Coat is the hardest, most durable consumer polyurethane top coat on the
market today. It brushes the best of any waterborne finish we've used and
sprays incredibly well to a smooth finish. In addition it contains two types
of UV Stabilizers, one to protect the finish from breaking down in sunlight
and the other to protect underlying stains from fading or light colored
woods from darkening. And with its pure polyurethane durability, it can even
be used on floors. This is the most durable product in the General Finishes

PreCat 181
- WATERBORNE
PRE-CATALYZED URETHANE FINISH This finish is a near water clear,
pre-catalyzed urethane finish designed to replace solvent based pre-cats.
Dries fast and develops a hard finish quickly. Excellent for all furniture
and cabinet work. Product can be brushed or sprayed and performs extremely
well with turbines. Very good for cold weather application. Product dries
fast and has a slight straw color, like
solvent based lacquer. This is the best waterborne "off-the-gun" gloss
finish we have ever used!

- Designed for exterior
wood applications, EXTERIOR 450 varnish provides your wood with a tough,
protective finish that will withstand the rigors of the sun, rain, and wind.
Ideal for outdoor furniture, doors, and case goods, EXTERIOR 450 is
fortified with UV absorbers to minimize fading and maximize
performance. Its built-in mildewcide retards mold and mildew growth. It's tough and flexible, and resists the expansion and
contraction of the wood through hot summers and cold winters that causes cracking and peeling. It flows well and dries rapidly to a clear
finish.
Enduro Clear Acrylic
- This is a water clear acrylic that's perfect for cabinets, furniture
millwork or anywhere a water-clear and non-yellowing finish is required.
Easy to sand with good adhesion. Available in white,

Enduro Clear
Poly - Tougher than the Clear
Acrylic, Clear Poly has better durability and overall toughness. Water clear
and non-yellowing with a high solids content for rapid build. Apply by
wiping, brushing or spray.

Sanding Sealer -
A very easy sanding acrylic based sealer that can be used with all General
and Enduro finishes. Apply by brush or spray. it dries quickly to a very
easy to sand surface. When thinned 1:1 with water it can be used as a stain
controller for waterborne stains and dyes on difficult to stain woods like
cherry.
White Undercoater Primer
- Designed to seal, prime and fill the grain/pores. Provides a
superior basecoat for subsequent paints and is more economical and efficient
than using other products. Typically one coat is all that's necessary. Contains a tannin block
to minimize tannin bleed through with oak and other high tannin woods. Very
easy to sand due to the high solids content and very minimal grain raising
if applied without water reduction. A first rate primer for particleboard
edges, replacing solvent base products. Custom tinting
available for a small up charge. This product works under all our waterborne
finishes including Target.

Brush and Gun Cleaner -
Removes build up from spray equipment and other tools like
brushes.
Enduro Crosslinker -
A non-aziridine based cross-linker that can
be used with Enduro Clear Poly and Acrylic Finishes. 3/4 oz is added per
quart (3 oz per gallon) of finish to improve solvent and mar resistance.
Catalyzed material is good for 48 hrs. Unused material can be re-activated
by adding 2 parts fresh finish to old, then adding catalyst for the 3 parts.
(Example - you have 1 quart left. Add 2 quarts fresh finish, then add 2.25
oz catalyst). Comes with 3 oz measuring cup.

these pigments are dispersed in 100% acrylic, ensuring a faster and harder
dry and non-yellowing qualities. Has excellent light-fastness and all tints

General Oil Based Finishes
General Finishes oil based products are widely used by discriminating
craftsman throughout the country. Seal-A-Cell sealer/finish is used as a low
luster, "in-the-wood" finish by itself or as the foundation for the more
protective Arm-R-Seal oil/poly topcoats. Gel topcoat is a gel polyurethane based
finish that's incredibly easy to apply.
Seal-A-Cell
Clear for decades has served craftsman as the best way to get the that
"natural" look on beautiful woods that aren't to be stained. The oils penetrate
deep within the wood to highlight the warm natural look and the urethane insures
a deep hardness. Follow with multiple coats of Arm-R-Seal topcoat if more
durability is required.Seal-A-Cell can be wiped on or applied with a foam
brush.
Quarts and Gallon
Arm-R-Seal
topcoats are made with only the highest quality urethane resin, making them
extremely durable and long lasting. They are formulated to be wiped on
with a cloth or applied with a foam brush, thus eliminating drips and sags.
They penetrate to provide deep down protection and that " natural" look. Quarts
and Gallon, gloss and satin sheens.
Gel Topcoat
is one of the easiest oil finishes to
apply.
Gel Topcoat has a high content of
urethane for more protection. Gel Topcoat is
available in satin. For semi-gloss or gloss sheens, use Arm-R-Seal Topcoat.
