GENERAL GUN/TANK SETUP GUIDELINES

Generally, if you are spraying in a dedicated area for spraying such as a booth, you should have a regulator/extractor that's mounted on the wall to supply air to the pressure tank. You can place the pot on the floor or hang it waist high and use 15' or 25' hoses. If you choose the 2 qt or 1 gallon heavy duty, these can be located about 4 ft. off the floor which eliminates the possibility of tip-over's. The 2.5 and 5 gallon pots have casters and won't tip over. Air from your compressor is supplied to the pressure pot which has 2 regulators, one for controlling the pressure in the pot and the other for regulating air for the gun. These regulators operate independent of each other, but you must supply enough air with your extractor/regulator to run them. If you don't have an extractor/regulator, you can get by with an in-line filter mounted at the pressure pot inlet, but not all pot designs will accommodate them without installing a 1/4" extension on the inlet (the filter gets in the way of the clamps). If you are painting a house, going up ladders, or just want to be more mobile, choose the 2 qt light duty pot which you hold in your free hand or sling in your belt. An in-line filter installed at the pot inlet is best for this situation, or as far downstream from the compressor as is manageable. See Fig. 2

12S comes with Delrin air cap. Add $15.00 to the 12S gun for aluminum air cap upgrade.

To substitute the 19i gun for the standard 19 gun, add $35.00.

Note: Effective 11-1-2007, Accuspray no longer includes gun lube with their guns, even though it is noted in the instructions.
