JAPAN COLORS - Ronan Superfine Japan Colors are flat, quick drying colors that are superior to any Japan Colors on the market.  Japan Colors are pure concentrated pigments in a Japan (oil varnish) vehicle.  They excel in purity, tone uniformity, strength and fineness of grind.  Use them for tinting varnishes, lacquers, heavy bodied glazing stains, paints, etc. Not for water base or shellac. Can also be used for decorative painting techniques under lacquer or varnish. They work beautifully for striping, graining, stenciling, lettering & faux painting. Offered in 13 colors in 8 oz. (1/2 pint) metal cans.

VIVITONE™ WATERBASE PIGMENT COLORANTS

  When a stock product color isn't quite right, or if you need to make up a special stain or color, our Homestead ViviTone™ Concentrated Waterbase Pigment Colorant is designed to mix easily into all  water-base products. These products have been thoroughly tested with all our Target and General/Enduro products, but will work with any water-base finish medium. Can be used in all water- base fillers, stains, glazes and finishes.  Product disperses quickly and makes great transparent toners or opaque colors, depending on amount used. 

 ViviTone™ Water-Base Pigment Colorants - These handy colors are available in standard Universal Colors in a flip-top style jar (except 16 oz.) for easy dispensing. Unlike traditional Universal Tinting Colorants that utilize a soft binder, these pigments are dispersed in 100% acrylic, ensuring a faster and harder dry and non-yellowing qualities. Has excellent lightfastness. 

The transparent yellow and red oxides have tremendous UV resistance and make excellent transparent stains that are rated for both interior and exterior use. They're recommended as bases for making your own stain or adding to existing stains (like dyes) where strong light may be present. These two colors make excellent toners in situations where maximum UV protection but transparency is necessary.

M I X O L   UNIVERSAL PIGMENTS

MIXOL colors are truly "universal" colors in that they use no binder. Made from quality pigments finely dispersed in a glycol ether carrier, they'll mix with just about anything, including oils, varnishes, shellac, lacquer and water base finishes. For touch up work, we've found them first rate when used with shellac and produce a smoother surface as compared to using dry pigments. Top coat any repaired area with shellac, aerosol lacquers, or water-base finish. The kit colors are also useful for tinting glazes, stains, fillers, glues, and waxes.

DRY PIGMENTS

The use of pigments allows the finisher the versatility of matching any color or modifying stock colors for custom color matching. Pigments are sold by volume, not weight.  Available in 2 oz., 4 oz. and 8 oz. sizes in a polyethylene jar.
